Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

After 6 months of insurance drama and the wrap shop taking their sweet time, my accomplishment is actually driving my Blackwing home!

-Full-body XPEL Stealth PPF on all the blue bits and standard gloss PPF on everything black/carbon (including interior trim and seat backs), black on the handles, light tint on the rear reflectors
-XPEL Fusion Plus Upholstery ceramic coating on seats and most interior surfaces
-25% tint all around
-OEM black CT5/V/Blackwing badging
-Front/rear black Cadillac badges and wheel center caps from Savage Cadillac
-Smoked front side marker also from Savage
-Carbon front lower grille applique and rear trunk applique from, you guessed it, Savage

OEM black lugs and red seat belts will be going on next to complete the package and then I think I'm done...until the warranty expires at least.

Drove it for the first time in about 2-3 weeks (just got dug out Saturday)....and it actually started!

How does that ceramic upholstery work? How long does it last?
My understanding is that XPEL Fusion ceramic coating has been used interiors for a few years but the new product specifically for interiors is pretty new and there's surprisingly little information online on it - here's the most I found in the link below. But basically it's meant to be like an automotive Scotchgard, adding hydrophobic properties and stain resistance to carpet, leather, trim, really any interior surface. I don't think it's been out long enough it's really know how long it truly lasts, the link below just says it lasts "years" but it's covered under the same 10 year warranty that my exterior ceramic coat is.

Thanks for the info. I couldn't find much about it either.

I was thinking about taking the 75 mile one-way trip to visit my BW in hibernation and start it up for a while.
I sure wouldn't recommend that unless you're able to drive it for a while. Nothing good happens from running it for 10-15 or whatever amount of idle time.

Its still better than leaving sit for 4-5 months. I take my collision off to save about 4-600$. I do usually just drive it down the long driveway and back. Been doing it for decades with my cars and never had a problem. Learned the hard way to keep a battery tender on them.
