Wait times for normal orders

My wife told me she recently read on Facebook that all of the 250 preordered cars have been delivered (am hoping this is true). So this thread is for people NOT fortunate enough to preorder a CTV5.
When did you order?
When did the car arrive?
If car has not been built yet what did the dealer give you as a "best guess" for delivery?

Ordered from a top 30 dealer in Sept 21. Dealer did not quote a delivery date but I thought March 22 was likely. Now thinking I'll be lucky to get the car by July 22. My order does not have any optional carbon fiber pieces.

This is why it is affectionately called a goat rodeo. Nothing makes any sense. Some guys have had orders filled in the "normal" 6-8 weeks. Others have, and are still waiting, for months. It depends on your dealers allocation, what dealer, what you did and didn't order, how many are ahead of you. Some cars have shipped fast, others have sat in the parking lot of doom for months. Pretty much no rhyme or reason. Read thru the threads and you'll understand more. Oh, and I almost forgot.....lots of "bad" info from many dealers. I don't want to say lies, but...

I placed my order in August. First on the list. CF1, CF2 and carbon seats. My dealer told me around Xmas that mine will be delivered in Q1. I'd say that ship has sailed, though he didn't say which Q1. I believe, and he agrees off the record, that it won't get built as a 2022. If it's not picked up by May, GM cancels the order, and we start all over for 2023.

Take the time and read thru the different threads, especially the constraints thread. Sit back with some snacks and your favorite adult beverage and as they say, pack your patience. Summer is coming!

Order placed/deposit with dealer April 28..received car December 22. Changes to order made some time in May, went from Rift to DEF then back to Rift.

FWIW, i'm really not sure how much it will help. Just given that it seems so random in nature.
At the dealership where I ordered, I was something like 5th in line but ended up receiving it 3rd. And I'm pretty sure I was the first non-preorder.

When I placed the order, dealer said there was no garuntee that GM would pick up the order at all. And only way to know was to place an order and wait. Apparently I was 3rd on my dealers list when the mid-december allocation came in. I assume the 2 orders before me had Carbon Fiber options and didnt want to drop them. Who knows how long the wait would have been if I needed to wait for my dealer to get 2 more allocations.

On December 18th, I went into the dealer ready to tell them to cancel my order because I had just learned of their 5k ADM. Before I could say anything, my salesman yelled across the showroom that I got the allocation. Kinda put me in a weird spot. I decided to suck it up and consider myself lucky to even be able to get the car.

You're trying to connect dots to help give you a timeline, and unfortunately, it won't work. You can't go on previous production and delivery experience because allocation, production, constraints and shipping are all in a major state of flux. I hate to rain on anyone's parade, but that is the reality of the situation right now.
