Tried everything...two quick taps two deliberate taps...nothing works. My manual says competitive driving mode is not available in any of the settings..EDIT....I am reading that the tires need to be at a certain psi to enable Competitive Driving Mode? Mine are at 34 psi cold

Never mind figured it out ..I was trying to switch to sport from My mode and it didnt work. When I access Sport via mode button it worked

Double-tapping V-mode also fails to bring up the mode they used in Spring Mountain if you have suspension in the softest setting in your V-Mode settings.

Yes My Mode settings for me for daily driving was softest suspension ...then from My Mode I would put it in Sport going up two clicks with the ptm switch on steering wheel ...double tapping TC button from there did not work. When I got out of My Mode and then went to Sport the double tap worked.

Car dynoed 498 rwhp on heartbreaker Mustang dyno...the shop warned me....they told me a 580 HP cammed header straight pipe Z06 put down 430 on that dyno. 800 hp built Subarus put down 600 HP. The shop tuner said this was the best fuel curve he had seen on a factory tune. He did a dynojet conversion for me which was 628 rwhp.

GM made it confusing. Sport mode and Track Sport are not the same.

Good thing I have absolutely no idea what you guys are talking about. I get in, push the start button and drive away. By the time I figure out some of the bells and whistles.....I park the car for 6 months during the winter and soon forget all the cool stuff that this car is capable of. I'm lucky if I can remember how to turn on my smartphone light.

I tried playing with the ptm settings in my 2026 5BW. I don’t know how to get ptm to turn on with any suspension setting other than track stiffness. In v mode if I turn on ptm mode, it forces suspension to track. If I push sport suspension setting when ptm is engaged, it turns off ptm mode. If I’m not in v mode, I have no visibility into the suspension setting when using the ptm mode dial, but I think it forces it into race mode which would be track suspension setting.

Those who said it’s possible to use ptm mode without the track suspension stiffness setting, how do you do it? And could not maybe only work for the pre refresh version? I really want to use ptm mode but my roads are frequently too rough to be on track suspension mode, I prefer to drive in tour suspension most of the time.

Mr. Wang, for reference on 2022 5BW PTM is only available on Track mode.

If I'm remembering right, you can use tour suspension in PTM wet mode. This requires programming V-mode with tour suspension and V-mode double tap with PTM wet.

On my 2024 5BW, I have V-mode programmed with everything maxed out except suspension in middle setting. When in V-mode, I can access the various ptm settings from the steering wheel switch (dry, sport, race 1, race 2, etc).

Just to pile on - the 2025 “V-Series Convenience & Personalization Guide” states that there is a PTM 6 - PRO (CT5-V Blackwing). “Is for dry conditions. All traction and stability systems are off for the most analog driving experience.” I’d really like to use this.

When I had a ‘25 I raised a question to the dealer pointing out the mode is unavailable. They said it would come in a future software update but I am not sure who they spoke to in order to learn that. Apparently Cadillac hasn’t been able to get to it yet as my ‘26 precision pack car doesn’t have it either.

On the ‘26 cars, I don’t think a V-Series Convenience & Personalization Guide even exists. One didn’t come with the car and I don’t find anything online, Cadillac or otherwise.

I suppose one can’t complain that the car doesn’t have the mode if they never told you it has it.

To do this manually do the following:

1. Set drive mode to whatever you want
2. Hold down the traction control button near gear shift for about 10 seconds and both traction control and stability control will be OFF 100% with both dash lights illuminated.
