Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Castro SRF is good stuff! Wish Performance Friction made pads for our cars, I never took a liking to the DTCs. Have you used them before on this platform?
I have not. I originally wanted carbotech xp12 and 10s but they’re made to order and needed something quick, so Ken at knsbrakes recommended the DTC60s.

Cannot say anything bad about them so far the performance and thermal capacity is beyond my expectations for a 4000lbs vehicle. They also seem pretty good for street for driving to and from track + any pit stops you’ll have.

I haven't used a scissor jack in at least 20 years since I had one fail while changing a tire on my Escalade. Today I think I'd look for a steep hill I could balance a corner of the car on before I'd use a scissor.

I had one fail on me as well!

It was an aluminum scissor jack from the trunk of a brand new 2000(ish) Audi A4. A colleague had a flat, and I offered to change it for her in the company parking lot. I got the flat off, and just after I stuck it under the rocker panel the scissor jack twisted like a pretzel and the car dropped onto the tire. Scared the hell out of us.

At the time, I had a VW and my car's jack was identical to the Audi's, with one exception: the VW version was heavy gauge steel.
