Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Looks great! Couple questions if you don't mind...where did you get them from and how did you install them? I'd like to do blue seatbelts but I cannot find any shop or dealer willing to do the work for safety concerns.
Here are the part numbers I got from my dealer for the Torch Red belts. I didn't order from them. I have a local performance shop that had worked on my GTI and they were familiar with doing this install, having done an RS3 and other cars before. Had them order the belts, which saved me some $$ from the list prices here. They told me the belts on the Audi cost $3,000!. My dealer also said they would not do the work for liability concerns. I think other people on the forum have done this mod themselves, and I know on the Mk8 GTI forum a lot of people did the switch themselves, so it is not complicated, difficult or risky as I see it. If you search for "torch red" you can find some of the posts on folks who've done the install themselves. I'm just not handy and would rather pay my trusted shop than pull out trim pieces myself :).

What year is your BW.

I've seen a couple of posts where they are different (22-24s vs 25-26). I guess it's due to the automatic tensioner.

The legal limit in Illinois is 35%. I wouldn’t go darker than what is allowed in your state otherwise you are inviting the police to pull you over and ticket you. Any reputable shop or the internet should be able to tell you how dark you can legally go. I went 35% all around and I think it’s plenty dark. View attachment 34025
I’m in Illinois as well and I went 5% all around and 35 in the windshield. So far police have stayed away, but my police memorial plates might be helping lol

I installed the Desert Does It seat jackers. Initial impression is they help support my long inseam legs.

It was subtle for me at first, but I realized I could drive the car MUCH longer with no ankle / leg discomfort. That “issue” is totally gone for me, so they made a big difference even though at first I felt like it could have been a half inch thicker.

Gave my 5BW it's 1st bath of the season.

Got my wheels powder coated, blacked out the side reflectors, installed blacked out badges, stage 1 paint correction and 5 year Dr. Beasley's ceramic coating! Very pleased with how the car looks now; last mod I think is the black rearview mirror covers.

I much prefer this look to how I got it from the factory:

Looks good. Must be an optical illusion but your spoiler looks missing in the first pic.

I'm budgeting for some aftermarket rims from Apex but until then, your powder coated OEM's now have me thinking . . .

Mind sharing how much powder coating them cost?

In the Houston area the price ranges are 125 to 200 per wheel, that's powdercoat, dismount, mount and balancing included. Last set I had a few years back was 600.
