Last night on rt 34 in colts neck, nj a large tree came down directly onto my roof while trying to get home from the driving range. A freak storm cell popped up out of nowhere, took down all sorts of trees, and knocked out all the power. I thought I could make the 5-minute trip back to my house, but got stranded between several downed trees, almost crushed to death by one. (Lesson learned, just wait it out)

I accelerated and swerved across the double yellow to avoid the driver's side being hit, but it looks like the power lines stopped the tree from completing its fall. BW handled the wet conditions, acceleration, and swerve like a beast --- She's going in today for immediate repair!

Looks like you saved the rest of the car from Damage.... Wonder if a double sunroof would have survived

Seems like you lucked out. The damage doesn't look too bad, I wonder if a dent removal guy can fix that. I've seen them work wonders on fenders and such where they can get access to the interior side, never seen them do anything with a roof before.

Stretched my 5BW's legs yesterday. Ran the "Triple Nickel" in southeastern Ohio. It's Ohio's equivalent of the "Tail of the Dragon". That was some of the most fun, but intense driving I've ever done in my life. My 18 year old grandson accompanied me. Once in Marietta, Ohio we had a nice lunch at Bob Evans Restaurant. After lunch, as we were walking to the car, I flipped him the key fob and said it's your turn, letting him drive the 2nd leg back to Zanesville. Boy, did that put a smile on his face. I took over in Zanesville and drove the rest of the way home. All in, we drove about 250 miles. Can't wait to do it again.

You came back through Zanesville and didn't stop at Tom's Ice Cream Bowl???
Ha! We already got a belly full of sugar at Bob Evans........didn't need any more.

Can't believe that neither of us remembered to turn on the PDR though. That would have made some great video. 🎥:Steer

You don't have your PDR set to record automatically?

No.........but I'll set it for auto the next time I'm in the car.

Thanks for the reminder.

Had to clean out the sand from my dog who decided to go in the water after chasing Deer and rabbits in my neighborhood; and ordered a rechargable mini vac for future cleaning.
