Texas Mile, Beeville, TX - 3/22 to 3/24

Anybody going?

We're headed that way with a group from the Dallas area. About 15 CTS-Vs are entered and at least one is trying to break 200MPH.

Registration is closed for this year but it's always open to spectators.

The "mile" is on the NAS Chase runway.

Beeville is north of Corpus Christi if anyone is interested.

I was just looking over the results of the Texas Mile from last month and I see 15 Cadillacs on the results list. All but one is a CTS V2 of one body style or another. One was an ATS - a little modified - then what car at the Texas Mile isn't.

The ATS has a boosted engine and other tweaks and hit 162.5 at the mile and 137.4 at the 1/2 mile - nice run.

The fastest CTS V did 196.2 at the mile and 164.7 at the 1/2 mile. Coupe btw.

The slowest CTS V did 161.8 at the mile and 136.2 at the 1/2 mile. This may actually be stock.

There were 4 coupes entered and one Wagon. The Wagon managed 185.4/156.1. Not to shabby for a utility vehicle. ink:

Btw, a Tesla Roadster Sport managed 204.3 in the mile - had to recharge it to get it back to the pits though. :biggrin:
