@jonnywaffles11 hey man did you or is it possible to have the ct4 radio rear cover screw onto the ct5 radio backing? That could help with fitment of the ct5 radio in the ct4.
As for the weird display, I'd bet that with the gm tool and programming the radio could look like oem. But then comes the task of fitment in the dash without molesting the dash... Im currently looking into this, but ran into the same screen you saw and I have the same year model and trim of radio..
Every part is different tbetween the ct4 and ct5, there should be photos in this thread that I have of the backs. My plan for this once I figured out the screen issue was to do a custom molded housing to drop in to the current ct4 dash. Likely would sit forward a negligible amount but would be doable and look fine. The screen tiling is what made this DOA
