I've gotten close but not quite. I have gotten the system to display correctly, but the issue now is it glitches and doesn't stay stable. It's like it blinks and wants to turn on and off alot. Here's a picture of it when running... just wish it stayed and it would be done! Everything still works too, touchscreen input points, apps, everything! Just glitches on and off alot. Its SO close but so far away. We think maybe another VIN grab or possibly module needs programming for it to work correctly all the way.Every part is different tbetween the ct4 and ct5, there should be photos in this thread that I have of the backs. My plan for this once I figured out the screen issue was to do a custom molded housing to drop in to the current ct4 dash. Likely would sit forward a negligible amount but would be doable and look fine. The screen tiling is what made this DOA
I emailed them and the said they could likely do it depending on the specifics of the radio. I replied back ready to give any info needed but never heard back.Has anyone tried Welcome to White Automotive & Media Services ?
Everything connected fine on that end. It's most likely refresh rate setting in the coding. Or you have a poor physical connection.
Quick question, do you know what type of ribbon cable this system uses? If I can get a longer one I can see what happens when using the ct4 guts on the ct5 screen? But the ribbon cable is too short otherwise it would be super janky to use the oem ct4 cableYeah if you can get it stable and working as a plug and play screen, I could probably do a new shell for it. I'm in a different industry now and don't have access to some of the rapid prototyping perks I had prior but could still do one off carbon molds for these. I didn't want to mess around with it too much on the initial plug and play didn't work. I had hoped that the signal output would be the same and the screens logic board would do the heavy lifting of output resolution
