CT5-V Getting Rid of Fake Engine Noise

CT5-V Model
I don't have an answer for you, but could you do a quick write-up on how you did the installation?
I figured out the NCA stuff, was thinking about creating a video on that too. I'll post an install pic/post today with how I worked it out and then I'll drop a post here with a video on how to remove the mics without cutting anything. Headliner is easier to move around than people think.

I had that exact sound/noise in my 4BW. I ended up just cutting the 3 ANC wires and it went away. At the time no one had a harness available and it was too much to handle noise wise for me.

I wish there was a better way to access my smaller speakers in the rear for signal. Right now I'm pulling from the main sub and I still can't get great bass out of my 10" sub.

I'm going to pull the headliner just a tad, the mics are up there but you can get to them without a full removal. I'll unplug them there. Sorry you're stuck with that signal input. You've already been at the amp side to remove the ANC stuff. All of the inputs and outputs for your speakers are there too. If you cut the ANC wires, you should have access to a better set of wires headed out to the speakers too.

ANC issue solved. I dont like cutting factory harnesses. I also read that on Older Vs if the ANC system sees a fault, it disables completely. There are 3 microphones in cabin. 2 of them are driver and passenger side just over your head, hidden under the grab handle at the top of the door. One is dead center between the 2 rear passengers.

I wanted to remove 1 mic and test. I pulled the rubber door trim down, popped the 2 plastic covers off that hide the bolts on the driver side grab handle. Used a 5/32 socket and removed the grab handle.

Next, I carefully pushed my hand under the headliner and the mic sits in a little plastic cup, it just popped out and I kept gently pulling the cable and found the actual connector this mic attaches to. The mic has about 6 inches of wire then a plastic plug. I rolled the plug gently to unstick it from its adhesive and the gently managed to get the plug to appear in the front of the 2 holes that was occupied by the front of the grab handle. Once there I popped the red lever open and used a screwdriver to gently press the 2 sides apart.

Pulled the mic out, rolled the connector back in the adhesive it started in, put everything back and started the car. No noise from the sub. Took about 30 mins to figure it out, no cutting, easy to reattach later on.
