Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

A new competition for us all: Post your average lifetime RPM

Would be interesting to see what the BWs at the schools are running

This is fun, my CT4 manual numbers follow. I'm at Spring Mountain next week(!) and will check whatever car I use.

Driving hours: 106.7-28.9= 77.8
Driving minutes: 4668
Total Revs: 976000
Average RPM: 2090.831

Despite a few "0" drives recently according to Smart Driver, that average doesn't look very exciting. Almost all mixed city/suburb driving.

My car is a “daily” (work from home) and sees a handful of track days a year.

1. 228-46=182
2. 182x60=10,920
3. 2,638x10,000=26,380,000
4. 26,380,000/10,920=2,416.00 RPM
5BW 6M

Go do your math! FWIW, my car is my commuter as well....you might be surprised by your numbers!
PXL_20230104_164643094.jpg

1.155.3-27.2=128.1
2. 128.1x60=7686
3. 1689x10,000=16,890,000
4. 16,890,000/7686=2,197.5 RPM
4BW 6M

Greaaaaaaat.... before I do this calc, I "have to" rip around for a week to up my number. Wife, "WTF, do you have to wind out 1st, 2nd and 3rd away from EVERY light?" Yes, yes I do :bu

I would do it but mine has 4 miles on it and only revving I do is in my garage in neutral. Although we talk about speeding along and having fun, our rpm show otherwise.

4, auto trans, wife's daily, long time owner (46-020) with 13,522 miles. With all of that said, 2,098. 🤷🏻‍♂️

4 BW A
Driving Hours 612.1 - 209.8 = 402.3
Minutes 402.3 x 60 = 24,138
Total Revs. 4780 x 10,000 = 47,800,000
RPM.
851CA3E9-4CE3-487D-823F-60E94CFF5B47.jpeg
47,800,000 / 24,138 = 1980.28006

I felt like this was missing a key piece of info so i used some data to do some more comparrison.

I'd say the 10-speed does its job at keeping a lower RMP. Comparing Average MPH to Average RPM allows you to see driving styles. Lower RPM, Higher MPH would indicate highway driving. Higher RPM, Lower MPH would indicate spirited driving?

YESSSSS...another data nerd is exactly what this thread needs. 👍
Just checked my numbers.... (4BW M6) Average RPM = 2499, Average moving MPH = 43.2.

If I have a little time today I may try and create a spreadsheet so people would just need to pop their numbers in and have the results pop up automatically....

Just enter the numbers in the yellow section at the top and everything else computes out below. I didn't have time to make it look real pretty, but it probably isn't necessary anyway. For giggles I may take off my car cover at 583 miles and see how it turns out...

Very cool, thanks! I've already updated my post with your help!

Revs/10,000. 540
Hours 63.8
Idle. 16.8
Works out to 1915🫤
Jeez I've been way to kind to this car.
Come spring I'll have to make up revs and lower my MPGs
