How the heck do I replace the battery!

Ctek is a very good product. I have converted to the complete Noco Genius line and on the 5BW I have use their direct mount on board battery charger. It's permanently mounted under hood (it's designed specifically for this) so while storing I just open the hood and plug in. Its a good time to check the oil when I unplug the the cord, so I think its ideal.

Are you saying that Blackwings are coming from the factory with built in chargers? Don
Built-in? No.

But you can option RPO 5WF, Battery Protection Package, which gets you a Cadillac-branded CTEK charger (Corvette has a similar option). It's expensive compared to retail prices.

I've always used the (Deltran) battery tender. I've had various models and am currently using two of the 1.25A battery tender plus units.
I have a Deltran Battery Tender Plus. Since it only provides 1.25 amps, it can take days to charge a battery enough to start the car if the battery is close to or fully drained. I know this from personal experience over the past weekend—my battery was registering 6 volts. After two days of charging with the Deltran, it still didn’t have enough juice to start the car. I ended up buying a NOCO Genius 10 from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W3QT226?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

The Noco Charged the battery enough to start the car in about 2 hours. So far I'm impressed with the unit.

I just bought one of these. It's useless if the battery is close to or fully drained. It is more of a conditioner/trickle charger than a full-on battery charger. Plus the thing gets hot as hell when it's charging for an extended period of time. At $195 it is no bargain. I'm returning mine to the dealer.

Have a 5 amp Noco coming, thanks to this thread. Don

I would install a battery tender under the hood using the remote terminal.
Can you post a picture next time you have it hooked up under the hood? I connected my NOCO smart trickle charger under the hood, using the alligator clips, checked a couple months later, and the battery was down to 50%. I then connected the NOCO directly to the battery in the trunk (that was a pain to access) and it quickly took the battery back up to 100%.... so obviously I connected something incorrectly under the hood.

I believe it's used so that your battery doesn't become "close to or fully drained". I don't know. Maybe I'm missing something?
