Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Installed Corsa couple weeks ago and man this makes the car rowdy. Although I ran into pesky CEL, I was able to relearn the valves and zero issues ever since. Definitely recommend and super happy for quiet mode so neighbors don’t hate me more than they already do.

I've looked at the Corsa exhaust. Do you know if the quiet mode is similar between the Sport and Xtreme models?

As much as I'd love to open her up, I really need the quiet mode to be pretty quiet.

Didn't do anything to the car, but played around with AI to make a wallpaper for my phone with my correct license plate! I don't think the silver is quite right relative to the Argent Silver actually on the car, but good enough for now!

Hey all, first post here! I debated where to post this between the spotting thread and here but since I met the owner of the other Blackwing in the photo and he ended up being my instructor I'm posting it here.

Did my first ever, in any car, track day down at Dominion Raceway in VA. I was in the novice group and was very fortunate that my instructor was a fellow BW owner, he was great and was able to give me specific instruction for our vehicles. The car is absolutely insane and I was focused on just trying to survive lol so I dont have many photos but please enjoy the below.

Some FAQ's I got at the track that I'll repeat here. MT, no PP, Typhoon Metallic paint but with "XPEL stealth PPF" on top, track number 62 for the 6.2L displacement of the engine, 5BW is short for 5 Blackwing as I'd hazard most people here would guess :).

Great looking car!

Got mine out of winter storage today and stretched it's legs some. When I got home, I pulled into the garage and the system did an OTA update. Don't know what it was for, but I sure pray it does screw anything up. At least I got a message saying that the update was successful. View attachment 33767
I got the same OTA update, and message. Then the next day I got the update again.

What tool did you use? I've tried doing something similar in the past and with every iteration, the car itself looked worse and lost detail.

I used Gemini on the Chrome browser and had to spend about a half hour getting it where I was happy with it. Sometimes I would quit and start over because the AI wouldn't make the correction I was asking for, even though it said it did.

I used a prompt like this: "Create a 768x1376 aspect ratio image file in portrait orientation, suitable for use as a wallpaper on an iPhone of a 2026 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing. The Cadillac is painted in Argent Silver Metallic. The wheels are satin graphite. The image should be from the rear quarter with the car heading east into the sunrise down a straight desert highway with the mountain range of the Big Bend area in Texas looming in the background. Use Texas license plates with “TEXAS” at the top and the identifier “XXXXXX”. Create a sense of movement by blurring the wheels and having light exhaust coming out of the quad tips."

Getting the aspect ratio correct was the hardest part. I just kept going until it made it like I wanted it :). I'm sure there are experts out there who could do this right the first time but I just brute forced it.

Before and After pics after I got my Torch Red belts installed today on my 4BW! I love the contrast and it really livens up the interior IMHO. I've heard others have had issues getting the center rear, but I was able to get them in about 3 weeks. I never really thought of contrasting belts as a fashion statement but the Polestar XC 60 that my wife is getting has yellow belts to match the brake calipers and that got me really wanting these.

I'm still waiting on delivery too so I've just been browsing the forums and watching YouTube videos of these things all day lol.

I can't tell if that is Rift or Drift but looks great either way. How wide did you go?

Drift Metallic, if the photo was in the sun it would probably be a lot more obvious, but yeah in the shade the 2 colors can look pretty similar.
18x9.5 et22 and 18x10 et42
the OE summer tires on the wheels, when they wear out I'll go 265 and 285s

I just pulled my V5's out yesterday now that the weather is finally showing signs of spring. I'll need to replace the rear tires asap and cannot decide on the right tire. I want wide and thinking 295/30 but don't want to lose the little sidewall thats there. 285/35 looks a little balloonish to me. The other thought is changing my 18x10.5 to a 19 similar to another poster here. It really looked OEM.

yeah I was surprised by the 18 front and 19 rear looking so balanced. It really looks proportional and not like they are different size wheels. It does make the rear brakes look smaller. The fronts fill the front wheel so much and the rears have always looked a bit small proportionally to me on the stock setup. 19in rear wheel will increase that brake size aesthetic.

295/30 will be 1/2in smaller OD than stock. And going 295/35 is also a 1/2in larger, seems like its not the right size since it falls right in the middle of a complete profile step up/down.
