There seems to be a comprehension problem here. My post has nothing to do with the manufacturing of the vehicles. If you're vendors in China aren't providing the parts necessary for building the cars there isn't much you can do with the manufacturing process. There no alternatives for sourcing products. This of course raises many questions regarding management decisions in the past, however that's not the discussion here. The discussion raised here is an observation regarding the complete incompetence demonstrated by GM and Jack Cooper in their inability to ship completed vehicles. The lack of creativity, determination and problem solving skills is mind boggling. Its demonstrative of an organization that doesn't penalize mediocrity or reward excellence.

I find it ironic that when this incompetence is pointed out there are so many apologists here for GM. Its rings of the liberal media attacking those observers that pointed out the incompetence of Fauci, Birx et al. As for me I have plenty of cars. In fact I am in the process of selling 4 at the moment (if you can't wait for an LT4 send me and an email I have a 2017, 5,000 mile ZL1 I am moving along). Two have been sold, amazingly I had no problem getting them shipped.... So timing on the Blackwing is irrelevant to me. My individual desires have nothing to do with the observation as to the incompetence of GM/Jack Cooper.
If your vendors...
There's no alternatives...
It rings of...
HTH

Geez, it's not just a GM or JCT problem. It took me 2 months to get a car I sold shipped by a well known transporter. I didn't even consider incompetence. Things are just different these days. You just have to try to relax and deal with the current state of affairs while everyone is working out solutions.

Sold a car on March 31, transporter was at the house Monday April 4, car was delivered to buyer in Phoenix on Wednesday April 6.

My experience was last fall/winter by enclosed carrier from AR to CA. It only took several days after pick up to get to destination. Getting the carrier to me was the holdup.

Give up on the Blackwing if you are so unhappy... You clearly have better logistics ability than the companies involved with the delivery of your car. I can tell you, your attitude here is not really welcoming and I am not sure people will be happy to have you as part of this community.

Thought at first this place was kinda boring compared to a Jeep forum, but now I feel more at home.

I rise in defense of Quandary. I don't believe that pointing out possible incompetence means that someone feels entitled. It's possible, I suppose, but I didn't read the comments that way.

I'd rather hear these opinions and observations than have people feel they have to keep their mouths shut in fear of being labeled "entitled."

Just my opinion.

Keep in mind, just because a car is built doesn't mean it's ready for sale. Could easily be sitting around awaiting some part/chip needed before it can be transported. Then there's the issue of transportation, dealer prep, etc... All require people in industries at are ALL short-staffed. This is happening EVERYWHERE - airlines are canceling flights due to lack of staff; pharmacies running very limited hours due to lack of staff; etc... Welcome to our new world of commerce...

No you don't understand. One time I shipped a car and it went fine. Also I own a lot of cars. Therefore, GM is incompetent.
