(Temporarily) Removing the Seatbelts?

Thinking about sending mine out to get colored seatbelts. Anything I need to know about how to removing the ones that are in there? Pretty straightforward?

I wonder if they are connected thru the safety system some way? My 5 has the self tightening ones...

As long as the shop you're using knows what they're doing, I would let them handle removal and installation. As much as I consider myself mechanically inclined, seat belts and airbags are not things I mess with myself.

I would have to find a local place. The only ones I've seen are where you remove them and ship them out.

My wife did the same as we were pulling out of the dealership. Admittedly, I was unaware that was coming as well. Though my response to her scream was "Now THAT is cool".
