Hey everyone, sorry for another order post. I searched the site and found some good information, but wanted to see if anyone could confirm.

I placed an order for a CT4BW Monday with a dealer and they told me they had an allocation for one. I received an order number and when I looked it up I get:
"Your order has been submitted by your dealer but has not officially been accepted by GM at this time."

Doesn't this message mean an order has been submitted, but there's no allocation?
Was I misled or is it just too soon after the order for it to be accurate?

TIA

Did you order carbon fiber? If yes I believe there are no carbon packages available for the ct4 in this upcoming build and would push your build to early spring 2026.
Dealer might have screwed up and meant to change one of their stock orders to be your order, but didn't and just entered a new order. Usually a dealer has a person who does the orders and that is not your sales guy.
Make sure you have the right 6 digit code because you could have typed in the wrong one, like entered an 8 and its a 6.

But if none of that applies to you, then yeah there is an order in the system, but GM hasn't accepted it yet (allocation given to dealer for your car). There could be a mess up on Cadillacs side or the dealer side, best to contact your dealer and ask if they can help confirm your order status.

Thanks, no carbon fiber. Seems I'll follow up with the dealer next week.

Spoke to the dealer yesterday. Although the automated chat says the order has not been accepted, they are showing it on their system as accepted!

Things do get out of sync between the Workbench and what the automated chat can see sometimes. If you feel comfortable, ask your sales person for a screen shot of the Workbench just so you can be sure it's been accepted. It'll look something like this:

Note the Current Event in the right column at the bottom. That's the important part. You want to see a 2000 or 3000 there.

It's definitely a process!

If the dealer truly has an allocation, the order status should move to 2000 (Accepted by GM) pretty quickly. Some dealers, however, will tell customers they’ve “submitted” the order even when they don’t yet have an allocation—hoping they’ll receive one in an upcoming cycle. In those cases, the order just sits at 1100 status (Preliminary Order) indefinitely, waiting for allocation.

Dealer said order was accepted. Advisor on Cadillac says it's 1100. Might need to give it a bit and ask for a screenshot of workbench because I have no idea what's accurate 🤷‍♂️

Dealers get allocations on Thursday and the build must be submitted by Monday

Not to thread hijack but I just got an email that my car is produced and on it's way to the dealer. Should I expect weeks or months at this point?

Ask your sales person to activate the OnStar trial and download the app for your phone. Then you'll know exactly where it is at all times.
