CT5-V Blackwing 6MT (on order)
I have a 2024 CT5-V Blackwing 6MT (white). I customer ordered it in 2023 and waited 6 months to get it. When I ordered it, the carbon packages were on constraint so I wasn't allowed to order them. But I did splurge on the tan semi-aniline seats (CF delete). I now have almost 18k miles on the car. It's been a blast. But I find myself wishing a) it had CF1 and CF2, and b) it was a darker color (never had white car before this one).

I recently placed an order for 2026 Argent Silver 6MT with white semi-aniline seats, CF1 + CF2. But I kinda doubt it will get built. Does anybody know how long production will run?

In the mean time, I have a chance to grab a 2026 that's also a 6MT, it has CF1 + CF2, and it's Deep Space Metallic. Even has gold wheels! But, it has the mid-grade, diamond stitch seats (black). Kind of a bummer, but not a bad spec considering I didn't order it.

Now I'm sitting here wondering... is this worth the "upgrade?" My 2024 was $107k and has a trade value of $87k (not bad!). But now I'd be going to a $125k car. Just not sure it's worth it, especially if they drop a new Blackwing next year??? Will this one hold it's value as well as my 2024 did??

I have owned both, there's nothing about the 25-26 models that warrant paying more than the value of a used 22-24 model. None of these will hold their value better than another. I really like the 25-26 interior display, but I prefer the 22-24 front end other than the 25-26 exterior light show which is a pretty cool start up feature. Other than that, they're the same car.

There's really very little downside to going with the newer models as long as you're not paying a premium for it. They will depreciate at the same rate as all models from 2022.

I feel like depreciation is been better (i.e. lower) than average on my 2024.

Depreciation is the same no matter which model year. 22s will be cheaper than 23s, 23s will be cheaper than 24s, 24s will be cheaper than 25s, 25s will be cheaper than 26s. This is just due to normal aging that every car experiences.

I'm thinking about placing an order for a CT5 V BW, can't find anyone including a dealer to tell me when the order banks close. I assume it will be a few years before we see the next 5BW.
