Ordering Precision Package with PS4S Tires

I'm hoping someone can help me out on this.

I put an order for a CT5-V BW in early March with the precision package. The dealer was supposed to contact me when they received an allocation. I've followed up for updates several times and was told nothing has changed. Flash forward to last week I get a text out of the blue that my TPW is 10/6/25. Great news!! Except when I was provided the order from the work bench, it has option Q2Y for Michelin Cup 2 R tires. I remember specifically not wanting those tires (this is going to be a street car), so I reviewed my build specs that I originally submitted back in March. In fact it shows that I speced the "high-performance summer-only tires" and NOT the "competition oriented summer-only tires".

I brought this up to the dealership that I want the car as a I speced, not with Cup 2R tires. The response is that the dealership is "Those cup tires were required in order to get the precision package. The package could not be ordered in 2025 or 2026 without those tires included." I'm pretty sure that's not right or how else is everyone driving the car with the PP without Cup 2 tires?

I simply want the dealership to put on PS4S tires upon delivery...at their expense. Right now they are saying they will "work with me" on the cost.

My question is: Can the 2025 and 2026 BW with the PP be ordered with PS4S tires and not the Cup 2s? If so, exactly how does that order happen at the dealership level?

I appreciate the feedback on this forum which has been a great resource as I've gone through the ordering process. Thanks in advance...

You can’t get the precision package without the cup tires. In fact given how the suspension and traction settings are set up for the cup tires, it might be an iffy ride at speed on the PS4S tires. The C8 Z06 with the Z07 was the same. Only cup tires from the factory

When ordering my 26 precision pack, i was able to select PS4S tires, it is mentioned in a few of the technical spec videos that the ediff and suspension settings are tuned in order to work with both sets of tires. They aren't dialed in to only the CUP2R.

You can definitely order 4S with V8V option. On your order worksheet, it should say:
ROF Tires, 19" Foam front, Summer Only

If the dealership did not add that even when you asked, then that is on them.

Just checked mine and that's exactly what it had on the worksheet (y)

It’s how I ordered mine. If you can prove you ordered it correctly they owe you some PS4S. They can “work with you” on giving you a discount on a second set of wheels to mount the PS4s to.

Just to weigh in, I'm another 2025 5BW precision package owner who ordered PS4S. When I used the configurator to pick options, first I selected the precision package, then I selected "summer only" tires. At the time my order was accepted by the factory (August, 2025) this was the only path to ordering the precision package as cup 2 R tires were basically unobtainium. But even if the the track tires were available I still would have opted for the PS4S because (a) I don't plan on tracking the car much and (b) what kind of shape would they be in at the end of the 1500 mile breakin?

All that said, @ 900 miles I am very happy with the combo of V8V and PS4S. Yes, the ride (even in tour mode) is a bit harsh but my other daily is a 2007 Z06 (w/o magnaride).
