The car has had this noise from the beginning. I believe maybe some people have figured out similar things on their 5’s. Please help.
During idle, but especially when I load the motor with the clutch when starting from 1st gear, there is a metal vibrating noise, almost like loose change that comes from outside. Because I’m in the car, I can’t tell where it’s coming from (might need to borrow a friend at work to try it).
My two thoughts are the exhaust valves are vibrating slightly or on the complete other end of the car, something with the supercharger pulley, bearings or something. It does not sound motor related and has persisted through my current motor repair.
Is this just a “it’s normal for the CT5VBW” or can i fix it?
