Coming here for advice after a heavily frustrating day -- I've gotten a lot of help off of this board and I'm hoping for some answers.
My '25 6MT with 6k miles developed the turbo wastegate chirp that has been discussed on this forum, so I took it to my local dealer, they ended up ordering a new turbo to be installed when it arrives.
I leave the dealer, drive about 10 miles, all seems normal, until I pull off from a red light, it feels and sounds like I'm suddenly driving a tractor. Engine sounds very growly, and the car is vibrating/shuttering like I have never felt it before. I initially rolled down the window because I thought it was the truck next to me, but it wasn't.
No CEL.
I decide to turn back around and return to the dealership.
On the way, the car is vibrating like crazy, especially when off the throttle. I can feel it in the shifter, in the wheel, pedal box, and even in my seat. The engine and exhaust note is also noticeable different, a noticeable growl. I initially thought maybe a tire issue, but I also noticed that when I rev the engine while in neutral, the car vibrates very noticeably when I let off and as the RPMs come down. I also felt like the shifts were clunkier than usual, especially 2nd to 3rd. There was also one occasion when I was sitting at a red light in neutral that I heard a popping noise from somewhere in the front of the car. I only heard this one time.
I get back to the dealership and explain, the manager sits in the car, I demonstrate the vibration while reving, we go for a short drive, I have him feel the shuddering and vibration that I feel, he claims all he feels is the vibration from the road. He tells me all that they did while the car was there was put it onto a lift and listen for the chirping noise from the wastegate. They claim that nothing was removed or disconnected from the car. We get back to dealership, he has the tech sit in the car, they listen, car goes back up on the lift for a look-over, they say no noticeable issues, and that they aren't hearing / feeling what I am describing.
I don't know what else I can do at this point, I can't make them feel something, but I am so in tune with my car when I drive it, I notice everything. I know without a doubt that there is something different / wrong.
So here I am, feeling extremely frustrated and lost. I can't see how anything was done at the dealership to create such an issue, but I also had none of these issues before it being there. It wasn't even driven while there for service other than up onto / off of the lift.
Does anyone have any ideas or theories about what may be happening here?
