Good afternoon folks, had a mishap that happened on the freeway this morning. Unfortunately, a metal wire fell off a flatbed truck and there was no time for me to avoid it and upon checking the front end, I noticed the front carbon fiber lip had a chip and some scratches from the metal wire. Nothing very extreme but now is very noticeable to me. I was wondering if anyone knows if we can purchase that front lip from Cadillac?

Good luck, the 4BW front spoiler has been unavailable to order for several months now.

Those parts can be ordered. You’ll probably need to the dealer to put in a SPAC and also open a case with Cadillac customer care.

If the wire was flying through the air when it hit, then it’s covered by comprehensive, otherwise if it was stationary, that’s considered a collision that’s your fault. I absorbed a rock that damaged the transmission mount and some other undercarriage stuff. Was an expensive mistake.

But to me I would have a shop try to sand and polish it.

I had my front hit by a tool box in my garage. Took out a dime size hole right on the forward leading edge. I cried. :( Figured I would be buying a new part. Everyone in my car circle said no one could fix the carbon locally. I was talking to my local owned shop owner, who has done several car paint touch ups and repairs for me, by chance one day. He took a look and said I can make that right for you. You can not even tell it was done. I was impressed and super happy.

So agreeing with rubberduck try a local shop first.
