I encountered a CTS-V (I think?) driver yesterday who TOTALLY knew what I was driving. Modified, could hear the exhaust and he had various lighting installed. Just a good looking car.
Anyway, I see him up ahead on the interstate highway, he's driving fairly slowly. But as I pulled past, he sped up and matched me exactly. Also revved the engine a little bit, seeing if I wanted to play a little. I didn't, just got a plug in my tire earlier.
He slowed down on my passenger side, took a look. Then slowed down, went behind me, pulled alongside my driver's side, so his passenger could get a closer look. The passenger took pictures, gave me a thumbs up. Then they took off.
I was amused, so I snapped some (bad) pictures.
Also had a guy in a nicely modified Audi (not sure which) pull alongside me at a stoplight, roll down his window and ask about the Blackwing. He didn't know exactly what the Blackwing was, but I think he heard the exhaust note. When he saw it was a manual, his mind was blown. I don't think he had any idea Cadillac was making a car with a manual transmission.
Interesting coincidence: All three cars mentioned in this post, mine and the two cars whose occupants ogled my car, were black.
