Fuse Panel Access

I just got my 4BW and am looking at hardwiring a Uniden R4 and dashcam. I'm trying to get the fuse panel off. I was able to get the two front clips loose, but nothing. I feel like I'm going to break something if apply any more pressure. Is there a trick to get it off?

I can see that the top clip is stuck. Not sure what to do with it. You can see the fatigue on the plastic as I try to pry it out.

I was able to get it free. I ended up using WD40 to loosen the top clip. There are 3 total clips. The 2 plastic clips came out normal, but the third is metal.

Which fuse locations did you end up using for the tap?

I used F31, it’s empty.

On my 25 4BW, I'm not finding any ACC/switched fuses locations. They all seem to be 12V all the time. Did anyone find a switched fuses location in the fuse box near the driver?

I couldn't find an ACC switch. I did find some that are Ignition only. I used one of those for the Radar Detector.

Which I believe is the correct circuit. I can still remember the first time I hardwired a radar detector; sitting in the parking lot listening to the radio, eating a burger, and listening to the detector go off...

Exactly. No need to hear the radar detector when not moving.

I don't remember the fuse number off of the top of my head.

i went ahead and checked. I tapped into F30 which will power on with ACC

Thank you. I can concur with others- that top clip is holding on for dear life and does not want to let go.
