It's interesting that GM doesn't have this listed. I wonder if this is similar to the differential fluid and track use. The manual talks about changing at 1500 based on track usage, not street usage for the rear differential. TREMEC might recommend 1500 thinking that people could be pushing these transmissions hard. Does anyone that doesn't track the car change the transmission fluid that early?

My last 6MT, I changed every 30,000 miles without issues.

If the 1,500 mile break-in is more for the rear diff than the LT4, I think I'm going to prioritize optimal operating parameters for the glorious V8 over all else. Rear diff be dammed!

I have learned that there are far and few "investment" vehicles out there. You need to be a multi-millionaire with more money than brains . The only cars that I have seen ,lately, (last 20 years) has been the Ford GT 40's. I wanted to buy one in 2005 when they were $150,000 and I figured that it was way too much money and passed. Now , they go for over $300,000. On the other hand, if you had invested $150k in the proper markets, you could potentially have even more money. Usually the rich guy buys at top dollar and as soon as he drives off the lot he has lost 20% in value. I have my Dad's 1967 Cadillac convertible. He paid $5700 for it. I have it insured for $40k. I have probably lost count on how much I have spent over the last 45 years keeping it in beautiful shape. It has its issues, but it is a driver , not a hangar queen.

That article states to fill to the top, but that is not correct for the TR6060. The level should be 1/8" below the fill plug (or top off and remove about 8oz)

It seems that only GM is concerned with overfill. But Tremec is not. In the other thread I added a link to a TSB for earlier corvettes I believe which started the whole under fill. I think gm was seeing fluid leaks thru the vent under high temps and that was their best of fixing it.
