Does anyone know where dealerships get their parts from?

The dealer said I need a new transmission but its on backorder. Part number is 24045453. Where do they get these from because Site Maintenance does not show anything when I enter the part number.

They're likely using GM/Cadillac parts warehouses/distribution, not something we see into.

That site is not all inclusive and is not really meant to be. Any regular GM parts site online (like already linked in an above post) should show any part number available in GMs parts inventory.
