Starting to get in and start to compound and polish to prep for ceramic coating. Anyone else have progress pics from yourself or your detailers?

5 hours later and I wish I would have paid someone to do this so that I could be ignorant to all the paint nibs I've found. GM really has shitty paint processes. 2 more passes and on to ceramic. Also if anyone was curious about debadging, here is what a 4 looks like. I'm putting black emblems on but definitely do not like it without anything. The ass end looks to big

honestly it looks the same to me lol I barely noticed those two little emblems

All wrapped up. All in all. Paint wasn't in terrible shape given it sat for 3 months. Definitely had some paint nibs and imperfections that only I will notice. All polished up this thing really looks fantastic. I did black emblems (didn't pull the crests to paint yet) but not sure how I feel yet. I may get black b badges with colored flags so it pops a bit more.

Love how you matched the whole set...car, calipers, keychain,... and toolbox😁

Looks absolutely amazing. Before you detailed it, you were wondering why your paint looked so different from other Wave cars in photos. Now you know!

Where are you getting those v badges from? Since mine are already mounted, I might try and add vinyl to the tiles. However, if the badges are cheap enough, they're getting yanked again haha

How much are ya'll paying for your paint correction and ppf. Looking at correction and front end ppf for the incoming 4BW and don't have a trusted shop here in Denver. Getting estimates ranging from $1,500-$5,000 for the same thing.

The most important thing about PPF and paint correction is who is doing it. I had one job for PPF fucked up so bad on my ZL1 the shop had to pay to send it to another shop to redo. The second shop nailed it, perfect.
After having PPF installed on 4 different vehicles have learned to ask the right questions.
Tell the shop you will not accept lint/dirt under the PPF, and no bubbles, wrinkles or pin pricks. If they still want to tackle the job you have a good change of having a good installer.
To get the entire front end covered with PPF, paint correction, and car ceramic coated $4500-5000 would not be unreasonable.
