battery charging

can the battery be charged by clamping on to the metal ring around the red cable next to the battery ?

Most are running a charger off the remote connections under the hood.

I have looked thru the book nothing is explaned. I have look at the red cap under the hood but it does not show on the cap if it is pos or neg

I think red is for positive, but I could be wrong.....

Red cap is positive.

I clamp the negative of my tender onto the post thats on top of the driver side shock tower. Theres a lug+post sticking up.

The positive goes to the battery under the red cap.

Fairly clear in my manual.
