First the battery is difficult to get to and has a bunch of stuff attached to it. But I imagine these modern cars need some programming to be done when a new battery is installed.

If anyone has done this themselves I would love to hear about it and any warnings/help you might be able to give. I would much rather do it myself with a $100 battery than give it to the dealer to install a $300 battery.

$100 battery? Not anymore. Be prepared to spend $250 and up, especially at the stealership.

The 8 year old Odyssey battery in my Jeep was $250 back then, now it’s $430. Could be replacing it very soon with the same. If Odyssey makes a battery for my blackwing, I’m going to go with that.

Remove the trunk liner and you're good to go. I'd be cautious buying a $100 battery. A decent Interstate or similar is $200+
I THINK it's no big deal once you remove all the surrounding trunk material but may well be wrong. Don

The most difficult part is carefully removing the trunk liner material. There's a few videos on you tube showing ats v replacement which should be similar to a ct4. I would buy an AC Delco online, Summit racing has the OEM 48agm 760cca gm part # 88864541 for $184.99 with free shipping.. The ct4 uses this same battery. I have the original AC Delco in my 2019 ats v and it's still cranking strong after nearly 7 yrs . I do carry a jump pack just in case though.
