Think I might get a Z06, been looking and great deals out there right now with prices lower than MSRP. Good selection too before the 26 refresh. Thinking carbon fiber wing package and front end lift, looked into the Z07 package but don't want the Cup2s on the street. A few I've found have the carbon brakes only and one has carbon brakes and carbon wheels. Anyhow did you like it? got tired of it? reliability seems to be good, a few had engines replaced but not many. Hardcore cars like that can get on your nerves after a while. Only space for 1 car for me. Seems to be a good list of 1 and two year old used ones, low miles as I think people got a bit more roughness than they bargained for or the wife hated it. GM is not selling them certified though. Just the remainder of the warranty.

I don't have a Black Wing but I do have a CTS-V Wagon. I also have room for 3 powerful cars, so I bought a 2025 Eray. Bullet quick and comfortable.

I’m tall with tall torso, so it’s hard for me to fit in some cars. I went to dealer and sat in the HTC and after 15 minutes of seat fiddling was able to make it work. That’s cross plane crank engine sounds so good.

I sold my 2023 5V Blackwing and my C7Z for a '23 Z06 with Z07.

I have commented on it numerous times. The Z06 is a weapon, the engine is ridiculous.

My TLDR is that the car is so potent and basically lives at the bleeding edge that I couldn't enjoy it on the public road without risking my license.

If you have better control than me (I thought I did, I've owned multiple high performance vehicles but never one with a high strung motor going to almost 9k and 700hp) you will love it. I loved mine but within 6 months knew I would end up on the evening news so I sold it and went back to a C7Z manual.

The price for me in Canada has gone up a lot and if I could buy one again I would just order a base 1LZ with no options. The engine is the star of the show, the options don't matter. You don't need a wing or heated seats or carbon fiber, you just giggle like a school girl when you start it and rev it out.

Seriously don't waste your money on all the extra bullshit, the only thing that makes this car special is the engine.

I would love to get Z06...... once they add the third paddle.

I don't have a C8 Z06 but I do have a '21 C8 Stingray HTC and 5BW.

For me personally, the biggest disappointment I have with my C8 is the damn DCT. I despise it. The shift points suck (way too short in first and second gear). There are times when it shifts harder than it should. The maintenance requirements are ridiculous and expensive.

The transmission in my C8 required a main valve body replacement at 13,000 miles because it decided it didn't like shifting to the even gears. This is with ALL maintenance requirements performed as specified.

At one time I considered trading in my Stingray for an ERay. As of now, I'm staying far away from anything that says Tremec and Dual Clutch Transmission. I know this may be surprising considering the Tremec 6060 in my BW is the best manual transmission I've ever driven.

i havent owned blackwing. But ive spent 2 days in a Z06. I must say its one of the best experiences ive had driving that car. It had an aftermarket exhaust as well. Man it screamed and i had an absolute blast driving it.
That being said i sold my GT500 and am going to be getting into a 5BW. The car suits my lifestyle better even though the Z06 is more exhilarating.

I’ve only got one parking space, so if I pull the trigger it’ll have to be my only one. But most of the time I drive for fun unless it’s to the dentist or doctor. I have my eyes on a used one that has the CF wheels and carbon brakes, but it seems that most places will not mount tires on CF wheels due to the liability of damages.

a reliable dealer will know how to handle them. they pretty much have to. That being said if you have really nice forged or any other kind of wheel, it may not be the best idea to take them just anywhere.

you may want to check the forums and may be able to offload the carbon wheels for a good amount of coin. ive GT500 wheels sell for big money . there are people out there who may want a couple of sets.
I had CF wheels on the mustang. it was definitely a concern but other then the occasional tire change i wouldnt worry about them. They make the car feel lighter on its feet.
