4VBW Oil Consumption

Just polling the forum a bit to see what everyones experiences have been with Oil Consumption especially during first 500 to 1,500 miles. I hit 500 miles today and I do see a little bit of Oil Consumption according to the dip stick...... maybe quarter of a quart

Its hard to see 1/4 qt change. You would have to check it with the car in the exact same spot (same level), same temp, same amount of time since the last run. The engin can be fully expected to burn a bit extra oil for the first break in miles. As long as your not a full qt low, don't worry about it.
