[Now Available] AWE SwitchPath™ Exhaust for the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing

tip depth and placement is adjustable and also may be standing out more against our all black dev car's styling. Black tips will be available as an option as well.
Ah word, I like them, just want them flush with the lower valance.

Welp, congrats on finding a way to get money out of my wallet. It sounds absolutely amazing.

I was so excited for AWE to be making a 4BW exhaust, but those tips are really bad. It sounds great, and I'm sure it's great build quality, but there's just no way I could live with that look.

I fully understand the engineering challenges that come with trying to re-use the stock tips and how that isn't feasible, but without a more understated option, it looks like I won't be considering this one.
Understated...
Thinking smaller tips or would the black ones be enough?
Looks like the tips clamp on so AWE may be able to offer some options.

Totally get that everyone has different tastes! When I look at the chrome tips against a completly blacked out car I agree its jarring. Our procedure dictates we do a lot of filming with chrome so the exhaust can stand out in our media, but we do have black as an option. With the adjustability of the tips, depth can be set to your liking and many more photos will be released of the black option on launch day so you guys have more to go off of that just this video. Sooooo pumped for this!!!

We're pumped for the release too! Not too much longer now :)

😅 bittersweet in a good way!

Excited for the release so we can drop some more sound clips :devilish:

You definitely can do this, if the exhaust is set up like my Audi S4 AWE exhaust was. They are just slip on flanges with crimp collars. You may need a little custom fab work but.

Appreciate the quick responses, looking forward to the official release.

The wait is over, its live!

Will you have a video comparing the sounds of stock vs your exhaust?
We don't have stock footage at this time as that is not typically what we capture.

I will say that the biggest difference in my opinion was within the cabin and the change in tone. I have a few hours behind the wheel of the CT4-V and I will say the stock system was impressive for a vehicle from the factory, we added some polishing to the tone and refinement within the cabin. The volume difference is not night and day from stock but volume is not the only component to a great sounding system. (y)

Do you think there's a chance that the stock tips could be cut and welded on to this system?

I would lean to the side of no, at least not easily.

Our system is 3" and the stock system at the tips is 2.25" and 2.5" depending if it's the valve side or the non-valve side. Between the larger pipes and trying to get the stock tips to line up and be spaced evenly on the system and in the valence you're in for it. Of course nothing is impossible if you believe in yourself, but it's certainly not simple or straightforward by any means.

Also worth noting that welding or permanent modification of our system voids the warranty, so if you decide to do custom work something to keep in mind.

I wasn't sold on the tips until seeing the video. I think if they sit flush with the body they will have an aggressive look. You already mentioned they're adjustable, so solid choice there.

It sounds amazing, and the construction looks factory quality.

Well done AWE.

Sounds good. Looking forward to the CT5-V BW model!
In R&D as we speak!

Thank you Melon 🤝
Epic. Have the weight vs. OEM?
I don't have exact figures but I would say similar to stock so I would not expect any weight savings with this system.

Is the volume a lot louder? Or just a bit louder? I know you stated that the volume is one big change.

Thanks

Are there any plans for a valve bypass or valveless design in the future? I know for my old 340i AWE catback, there was a place to mount the OEM valve but it wasn't connected to anything so rendered it useless but the car wasn't complaining. Wonder if a similar strategy could be deployed here.

The tips grew on me as well. A bit too much but I can live with it.
It sounds good. No obnoxious rasp. Yes, a bit on the quite side but I doubt you can make it louder without the rasp. That engine just doesn't sound good unmuffled.
Do you get the CEL on the valves?

I don't believe I said that, to clarify what I said was that volume is just one component to a great exhaust system and only louder is not necessarily better.

As I said before the stock system was very impressive compared to many other OEM systems we see, so the AWE is not a night and day difference to stock. In my opinion the biggest differences was how it sounded from the drivers seat and the tone of the system itself.

Agreed!

No CEL with our system and we stand behind that with our No-CEL guarantee (y)
Downpipes with this would really have some great sound.
Very excited to hear the first owner to add some upstream mods with our system :devilish:
I will be ordering this today, will get it on ASAP. Will let you guys know all the details.
Great to hear! Excited to see the system installed, make sure you tag us if you post some photos/video 🤝
