Traded in my 2024 Lexus LS 500. I really liked the Lexus but I decided to get in something more exciting and I've been keeping an eye on the ct5 blackwing for a long time now and I just felt it was too expensive for what it was but I finally decided to take the plunge. Still feel it's a bit pricey for what it is but I guess I will swallow it. Wish I could keep all my cars but a lot of us are restricted and limited so it is what it is with all the emotions of being a car guy. Thanks for having me and hopefully I can learn a lot and contribute alongside. I'm also a Corvette and a mustang and a Silverado Black widow lifted truck owner.

Welcome. Nice people here. The only suggestion I have, is to be cautious in applying engine acceleration. If you “stomp down on it”, it will try to swap ends, which can be awkward. And dangerous. (Don’t ask how I know).

Thanks for the feedback and heads up on the precautionary measure. I kind of felt the rear end lose some traction and become squirrely during a short test drive initially. Hopefully I can try to keep it safe.

The mustang matte ppf is straight from the factory and Ford.

In comparison to the Black Wing, the z06 is more of a mid-engine exotic car. It has louder and more screaming Ferrari 458 like sounds. It definitely attracts a ton of more attention compared to the Black Wing. The Black Wing is 100% sleeper and it has tons of torque and power especially throughout the Rev range and down below whereas the Z06 does not have as much torque. I guess you get more value for the money when it comes to the Z06 but you can do more things with a black Wing because it has more versatility. The best thing is the black wing comes with a manual transmission so it's very satisfying to drive. Both are great and fantastic in their own way but right off the bat, most people would think the z06 is much cooler.

Good explanation of the differences between z06 and blackwing…totally makes sense with the different body styles and engines NA vs supercharged. I suppose removable targa is a nice perk with z06. I have a few other cars (all manual trans and NA) and I have been grabbing the blackwing keys the most this summer so I think getting addicted to boost!

I didn’t realize ford had factory matte on mustangs. A friend got a dark horse that I drove and it was black with some matte accents on hood. I had originally ordered my blackwing in maverick noir frost in 2023…didn’t get it so switched to coastal blue which I received and like. Drift looks great too!

Oh yes thanks for reminding and pointing out, the removable targa top is great although I don't use that as much as I should for some reason because I'm always on the go and can't put up with my lack of patience I guess, lol.

The boost from the supercharger in the Black Wing is definitely addictive and it's something that I've never experienced as far as a supercharger in my life so it's definitely a blessing and a great feeling to encounter.

I've been trying to pick something in stock for the longest time and with low options - so I finally decided to take the plunge and this is what they had available so I was kind of torn but I decided to take the plunge on drift blue metallic which is a pretty neat and cool color if you can look at it that way.
