2026 allocation

I'm wondering if my car is going to be a 2026 since it still hasn't been delivered, but is built and at holding facility. Mine was built at the same as yours (@mrpaw). How did you know it was changed to MY26?

I've seen dealers with MY26 4BWs, so it is hard to believe my car that isn't delivered yet will be a M25

On 21 April, I was told by Sewell that no dealers received MY25 allocation for that week. At that same time, I had the option to have my order converted to MY26. I took this option, expecting that the order would be rejected if there had been any changes to the options that I originally specified for my MY25 order. Since the options did not change, my order was accepted without additional work by me or by Sewell (beyond them re-submitting the same order sheet)

Remember.....GM automatically cancels orders NOT picked up. Your dealer MUST reenter the cancelled order. It's not automatically done.

You should have a VIN if it has been built. That will tell you what year it is.

There are 2025s still in transit according to the GM inventory search. Your VIN will tell you and the window sticker will make it fully clear.

Replace YOURVINHERE with your VIN.

Code:
https://cws.gm.com/vs-cws/vehshop/v2/vehicle/windowsticker?vin=YOURVINHERE

yeah that timing.... some of us watched 23s be delivered before our 22s

Doesn't work, I tried it earlier. The car is on the dealers website as "in transit" and says 2025. Unsure if that window sticker is 100% since the car is in holding and not delivered yet. Been in holding for a month. The car the dealer ordered at the same time (almost identical build) was delivered last week.

Year is assigned when the VIN is created. It cannot be changed later.

Check the 10th digit in the VIN. S = 2025 and T = 2026

Man I put in my 5BW order with Sewell Dallas mid April. got an email last month that it was going to be converted to MY26. today though she says she still has no order number or allocation.

Canadian here, just placed an order about a week ago for a '26 4BW. Got an order printout and order number.

I saw some threads saying the chatbot on the Cadillac website can be used but all I got was being transferred by 3 different agents?

EDIT: got it working now. Seems like I have to use the US site and don't use natural language, lol. Seems like the order has not been officially accepted for production yet. Reading from others, I suppose it takes about a month for it to get accepted? Dealer told me I should expect the car in the October/November timeframe.

It all depends on when your dealer gets allocation. I think there's more of that to go around for the 4 than the 5 but you'd have to ask them. Lots of different info out there on the GM ordering and build process. If your dealer has others ahead of you or if the options you require are constrained you may have to wait a while.

Generally as for timing from the time when your dealer gets allocation it's usually a month or so til it gets built then another month 1-3 months to make it from the factory to your dealer.

I specifically drove out out of town to a dealer to look at one, they were the only one within drive-able distance to stock a manual one. They did sell quite a few 4BWs in the recent months so I assume they would have a decent allocation. If anything mine doesn't have much options specified, so hopefully it won't get held up. Don't really wanna take deliver in the deep snow, lol.

I'll just keep poking at the chatbot for now, now that I got it working,

So do you get an order number when you submit to the sales person or when they submit to gm once they have an allocation?
Order number is after they enter the configuration in the system. It does not indicate the dealer has an allocation

Okay so it's kinda weird when she tells me she doesn't even have an order number? Was told on June 23rd it was going to be updated to a 2026 model year.

An order number without an allocation is absolutely worthless.
