I'm amazed that a shop with such awesome floors and hexagonal lighting could not wire an injection system properly.

You're right about that. I knew the engine would eventually go, but not this early. This was premature failure due to the shop's error.I feel sorry for the issues you have. This is exactly why I won't be doing ANYTHING to a car that IMHO opinion, is perfect from the GM engineers that designed and built it. Only cosmetic changes for me. If I did all these expensive modifications to my engine , I would have to just accept that fact that sooner than later , it would shit the bed and expect to dole out more money.

I'm ok with refreshing bearings, seals, rings, etc every other year to daily 1200 WHP

Hindsight is 20/20 but I guess if I lived in Cali, I would have paid to have my car shipped to one of the top shops in the country. They can arrange pick-up and delivery. Small price to pay for peace of mind when you're spending that much. It's unfortunate however, I'm unaware of any reputable shops in CA. If I were to go down the modification road with my LT4, the closest that I can think of that are seemingly reputable would have to be either Cordes in AZ or, JDP in UT.
That's due to my awareness campaign. 3 days ago, they were 5 stars on Google!Reviews for Omni Motorsports seem to be rather poor.
That's a lot of junk to work through to get there, but glad you did.In a related comment about finding the right technicians......I have a 1967 Cadillac deVille convertible. 205,000 miles on her. (Original family owned.) The car has had electrical issues, blowing fuses, dim lights or none at all. I have had a few recommended guys. Most just average. I was recommended to a guy who works 1 day a week in a restoration shop. The rest of the week he works out of his home garage. He just fixed my 30 year old electrical issues in one week ! I have never seen my dashboard lights so bright in over 30 years ! He even recommended and changed most of my bulbs to LEDs. My signal switch on the steering column finally works like it did when brand new ! It was the best money I ever spent. I have always wanted my dashboard brought back to new condition and he said that he can do it....."no problem" ! Fixed my window alignments with the convertible top, gaps that let water in. 90% fixed ! All my other techs have always whined about what a huge job I was asking to do. This guy seems like no challenge is a problem. He fixed things that he came across and I didn't even know about !
Worth every dollar !
Cunningham comes to mind...The Ca story is that once someone gets a solid reputation building and tuning, CARB finds them and makes their life hard. So hard they end up shutting down or moving out of state.
