What "don't" you like about your BW"?

This happens to me all the time and I found that if I slow down it does not trigger anything.
Thanks for the advice. Because my driveway is at an incline towards the street and this is the 3rd car side with a single door, I have to go very slow to line up and it still activates. When I have backed in on the larger 2 door side, same thing happens. It’s sensitive for sure regardless and I plan to try to shut it off.

@KatyTxCT5V ....My 4 did the same thing when backing in the garage. I learned to just turn off the park assist as I started to back into the driveway. I believe there's a button near the heated/vented seats. I guess I'll be doing the same with my 5 after they put in the missing module.

Somewhat annoying thing........after the seats automatically adjust to my driving position, if the car is still running and I open the door to exit, the seat won't move backwards unless you shut the car off. I went to Mohegan Sun Casino this past weekend and it was entertaining to see a 300+ pound valet trying to exit my car with the motor running. I just hope he didn't over torque my seat brackets !

You can press the button on the door to accomplish that.

@Finally-a-V … Thanks, forgot about that button for instant gratification 👍

Ok being insanely nit picky but the air vents don’t belong in the car. They’re cheap chunky plastic that just doesn’t fit the rest of the car, but once I set em I never have to touch them again so guess they won’t bother me that much, haha

I am glad someone brought this up. Plus, they will not point up far enough to blow cold air where it needs to go. Doesn't help much when it all goes to the floor. I have found that air circulation in general is rather poor, particularly in the summer. It doesn't help that there is little or no tinting to the windows. My Audi's had significant tinting straight from the factory. I know I can get them tinted but putting that film on the windows just doesn't seem right on a $100k car.

I just noticed that after less than 3000 miles and one year old, I already have some wear showing on the leftside of the drivers seat. Looks like I will need to get some quality seat covers. Anyone done seat covers yet?

Anyone getting the buzz/tin can rattle that plagued the LF4 on the ATS V??? I’ve been getting it lately on initial acceleration or when revving when the motor is hot. I would have thought this would have been fixed as this was a huge pain in the ass with the ATS V. I remember it took 4 visits for me to get it fixed. Something about cup springs near the waste gates I believe. I’m hoping I just have a loose heat shield or something instead 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ lol

Damn.... that sucks!

The ride height. I've scraped a few times and I was going really slow too...
I don’t have a BW yet, but have one on order. Any chance these cars can make it over speed bumps without bottoming out? Here in the Philly burbs, they throw those things everywhere and it is super aggravating. My Camaro can’t even get out of my neighborhood one direction due to the township putting up a bunch of speed bumps on our road.

It’s not as low as a C7 Corvette and don’t approach it like you would driving a truck and you will be fine. I have not had any problems by approaching slow and slow roll over them using the brakes on the higher ones. I never allow any bounce after crossing them which helps a lot.

On my 2016 Z06 which is lower, I have not had an issue yet using the same approach, knock on wood. 😀

No issues with this approach on a CT4 w/ carbon packs, either. It's been fine with speed bumps.

My only complaint with my 4BW is that I wish the damn AKG stereo had better low-end bass response. As an audio geek, I appreciate the highs and midbass...and high volume still yields good clarity...

But the lack of bass response down low is surprising. Otherwise, I love everything about it. I will say, the AKG is VASTLY better than the OE Bose in my V2 coupe. That system is terrible...

Agreed... and for a really steep speed bump I just cut the wheel as I go over it

No issues here with my 5VBW stock ride height - higher than my C8 by several inches and that didn’t scrape much either

This is good news on the speed bumps as there are several areas I run across them on a daily basis. I will take it slow and steady and should be ok.

First off, before I point out my let downs, please noted that I already posted why I think that the CT4V-BW is a better overall vehicle and why I like it better than my old M2 Comp. I continue to stand by my initial assessment after driving the CT4V-BW for 10 months.

Nevertheless, below is a list of my disappointments:

(1) Interior in general and dashboard in specific. I purchased the upgraded seats, so these are great. In my opinion, the dashboard is weak for an $80K car. The leather and suede on the Chevy SS dash is much nicer for a $50K.
But hey, at least I got ApplePlay, at least for now. While on that topic, when there is no Apple Carplay available from Cadillac, is when I go back to buying BMW. That is a show-stopper for me.

(2) Door panels. Again, they should have been better given the price point.

(3) The CT4V-BW should have had options for selectable color ambient interior lighting.

(4) Engine Bay dressing. Reference my post on that topic.

(5) I REALLY miss the manual hand brake for the 6MT versus the M2 Comp

(6) I don't like the brake-by-wire system in general. At a minimum, Cadillac should have added monitoring displays so that those that are tracking their car have better information as to what is happening with the brake system during a track session.

(7) Likewise, the tire pressure is available for display but NOT the tire temp. I think this is critical information when you are tracking the car. A general display for all the tires of Cool or Warm does not cut it, especially since the information is already being captured. It is available on the PDR playback on Cosworth Toolbox.

(8) It would be great if the main screen had a configurable "track mode display". This would allow displaying of all the relevant information that is being captured but that cannot all be displayed in the DIC display at the same time.

(9) Maintenance cost of tracking this vehicle comparable to a BMW M2. I just used up the front left tire again after 2 track days.

This is super nit-picky and admittedly 100% personal preference, but I don't love the steering wheel. My wife has an Alfa Stelvio and I actually prefer the wheel in that. The materials are a little nicer, the wheel itself is smaller, has a flat bottom (small enough to not be obnoxious), etc.
