Underwhelming A/C

Thanks for all the feedback and suggestions! I do think the A/C has a real issue and it isn't user error. Too bad, as I would have loved it to have been something stupid I was doing.

I have no clue about the tinting, just that it has it and it was installed by the dealer. The rear seat windows and back window are the same shade and pretty dark. My front windows have a lighter tint on them and I see nothing on the windshield. I will invest in a sun shade for the windshield as that worked very nice on the Corvette I had.

A/C problems or not, I'll also try driving at a little higher RPM, as I have tended to keep it under 2K while cruising around town. I usually shift between 3K-4K, but once I am at speed, I try to keep it as low as possible. I'm usually in 6th before I hit 60 and find the highway cruising RPM's higher than my liking and would really love that 7th gear that my Corvette had. However, I read in another thread where a 5BW guy never wants to use his 6th gear and his MPG's don't seem to be that impacted by the higher RPMs. Sorry for going off on a tangent in my own thread!
There is no need to keep the RPM low as possible. In fact, that's bad. Only time I use 6th on my 4BW is if I'm cruising at 100 or more. It's hot and humid here in DC, no AC issues.

Is it normal for the air to cut back or pause? The other day I was out running errands, about 110, I turned a corner on the way home and hammered it. Up into the higher rpm range and I could feel the AC cut back. Air got warm for a few seconds then went back to normal. Anyone else come across that?

EDIT: According to Google and AI (not A1) this is normal as the car will prioritize power over comfort. Dang car IS smarter than me.

Yes, there's a "clutch" on the compressor and it intentionally disengages under certain high load situations.

Damn bruh, that sucks. Sorry you’re having that problem. The AC in my ‘25 gets so cold my hands start to freeze as it blows directly on em while driving at 7/3 hand position.

I’d take it in for a warranty check if it were a consistent issue.

Hope you’re able to get it working my dude.

AC cold in my 22 5BW, no issues down in the hot humid Houston area. As others mentioned, by splitting the vent between floor & dash vents really helps the ventilating seats. I love that the seats turn on automatically based on temp.
Anytime it’s parked out during the hot times, I use my Covercraft windshield cover on all vehicles as they work great. I bought a white one for my Rift color car and it’s great.

Glad your getting it checked out and good luck.
