CT4-V BW 6 speed
Finally made the switch!
I had my 4BW for about 14 months. Absolutely loved it and even considered ordering a new one as I am not a fan of black, despite getting yet another black BW. The 4 is an awesome car, but I needed a little more back seat space and missed having a V8 in my life. I think there may have been a little FOMO going on here, which was not helped by watching almost every video on the CT5bw out there at least once, some 10x. I go through cars quickly, this is in fact my 77th car. The guys at Everyday Driver talked about my car history a bit when they used my 4BW for a recent video.

I really wanted a color, but since I don’t keep anything all that long, I have to consider the deal. They gave me close to 53k for mine, which also saved me $3710 in taxes. I paid $59 for it last September, so not bad considering I added 10k miles and the car market has been declining since last year.

The 5 has the sunroof, upgraded seats, bronze wheels and calipers. 22 w/11k miles. Not a mark on it and clearly an older person owned it. Good service history and the paint is perfect, which is tough to do on these cars. I paid $87k for it, which is a decent deal. They certainly over allowed on the trade as I was getting trade offers from 48k to $51k from others, including Carvana.

I have not been able to drive it too much yet, but I absolutely love it. She’s big and certainly doesn’t have the crisp turn in on the 4, but those 2nd gear off corner little power slides are awesome! AND that LT4 cold start is pretty special!

I will probably pick up a Miata or something similar to get my light weight toss-able fun in.

Congrats! I’ve got two lighter cars (one’s a modded Fiesta ST) that I love flinging around on tight, twisty roads.

I drove the FiST in the video and had a blast doing so. Just a memorable as the GT4 I drove the same day. If didn’t have snow in my life, I’d certainly get one as my fun, tossable thing.

… a Miata with an LS V8 engine conversion.

^^^it's the only time a Miata IS the answer, lol.

If the 5BW is a sledgehammer, a stock Miata is sewing needle. The 4BW is the scalpel with fun power and a world class chassis.

Congrats! As a concurrent 5VBW and FiST owner, this is extra-relevant and makes me want to do an apples-to-donkeys comparo between the two. I have yet to drive them back to back. I do love the Fiesta though- so light, cheap to own/maintain/insure etc, is such a fuel sipper (on 87 to boot if you want) and yet can be so entertaining when you want it to be.

But I think between the two (not that anyone is really going to end up with these 2 as their final contenders), you'll be glad you got the Caddy :)

Video is interesting too. In all my car years I have not come across Everyday driver or its channel, though I admittedly don't spend too much time on YT.

I wouldn’t let the snow stop you. I’m in the Chicago burbs and had a FiST for a couple of years and it was fine in the snow with all seasons. I also own a Miata (ND2) and with proper snow tires it performs shockingly well in light snow. Tires make a huge difference so get what you want and just throw a good set of snow/winter tires on it and you will be fine.
