Finally made the switch!
I had my 4BW for about 14 months. Absolutely loved it and even considered ordering a new one as I am not a fan of black, despite getting yet another black BW. The 4 is an awesome car, but I needed a little more back seat space and missed having a V8 in my life. I think there may have been a little FOMO going on here, which was not helped by watching almost every video on the CT5bw out there at least once, some 10x. I go through cars quickly, this is in fact my 77th car. The guys at Everyday Driver talked about my car history a bit when they used my 4BW for a recent video.
I really wanted a color, but since I don’t keep anything all that long, I have to consider the deal. They gave me close to 53k for mine, which also saved me $3710 in taxes. I paid $59 for it last September, so not bad considering I added 10k miles and the car market has been declining since last year.
The 5 has the sunroof, upgraded seats, bronze wheels and calipers. 22 w/11k miles. Not a mark on it and clearly an older person owned it. Good service history and the paint is perfect, which is tough to do on these cars. I paid $87k for it, which is a decent deal. They certainly over allowed on the trade as I was getting trade offers from 48k to $51k from others, including Carvana.
I have not been able to drive it too much yet, but I absolutely love it. She’s big and certainly doesn’t have the crisp turn in on the 4, but those 2nd gear off corner little power slides are awesome! AND that LT4 cold start is pretty special!
I will probably pick up a Miata or something similar to get my light weight toss-able fun in.
