CT5-V Tracking 5BW Advice

CT5-V Model
I started a separate thread on the SPL rear toe links, but they worked great.

I got the car track aligned today and I'll put in high temp DOT4 tomorrow and replace the rear diff fluid, but I am hesitant to replace/remove the shields. Removing the rotors on a car is pretty much a full day job for me. Paying the dealer is out of the question as it takes an already ridiculous cost for a track day to totally crazy.

Obviously, the downside to leaving the street shields on would be less brake cooling and potentially overheating. This can be solved by just slowing down of course, but would certainly reduce the value of my track fee if that happens.

If I do the work though, I am even less likely to put it back the way it was. What are the downsides to running on the street with the smaller front heat shields and without the rears? I would guess faster aging of rubber component, but is there something I am not thinking about?

I can't imagine anyone is swapping back and forth every track day/weekend, so maybe by now there is some data.
