Topping off while fueling

So just to confirm you fill.the tank till you can see gas at the top of the filler tube and no check engine guys, engine stumbles, etc?

Yes, been doing that since day one, no issues at all.

^This. Yes a lot of what the manufacturers say is CYA, but really how many more miles are you getting by doing this silly fill to the brim thing?
Your +- is going to be obviated by the driving conditions on that tank and how close you get to empty on the next fill anyways. Seems pointless, even more so if any potential side effects did rear their head.

All well, ymmv (literally in this case), each to their own and all that.
