St. Pete's Pirelli World Challenge weekend was supposed to be a double header with a race on Saturday and Sunday but Saturday's race was rained out and cancelled.

So, everyone got one race on Sunday for all the marbles at St. Pete.

This year's GT class is filled with Sports Cars and Super Cars and big Cadillac Coupes. Andy and Johnny qualified fourth and fifth. Andy finished a very respectable second behind Lamborghini Gallardo of Enge. Johnny had some difficulty and finished 5 laps down in 19th place.

Andy had a bit of a slow start but by lap 3 he was in the lead and continued to lead much of the race. Then there was a late race full course caution and this allowed Enge in the Lambo to catch up. Enge passed Andy on lap 29 and lead the rest of the way . If it hadn't been for the yellow, Andy would most likely held on for the win.

Johnny had the cars in front of him stall on the start and that allows several cars to get by him on the way to turn one. In turn one, Johnny got caught up in a wreck and spent 5 laps in the pits getting repairs. At that point, Johnny was out for a Sunday drive without a chance of catching up.
