New guy- aiming for a 26 CT4-V BW

Dunno... went to my local dealer (MacMulkin Chevy-Cadillac) where I ordered my 1LE from since they had done me well. By December, nothing so I started hitting up other dealers in the northeast as well as searching for inventory that was close enough. But eventually MacMulkin came through

Getting an allocation will have you dreaming of your car for months. 8 months seems super goaty to me, why so long?

Allocation is actually not fun. The dealership has to be given the allocation, then they have to see what is on restraint. It depends on the customer's build as to whether it can be accepted or not. I have seen colors be on restraint sometimes. There was one week where there were 26 total allocations for the entire nation and there are over 550 Cadillac dealerships. One that happened recently was they only accepted orders with Carbon Fiber 1 & 2, but not with only Carbon Fiber 1. We are not really given a heads up on what we will get ahead of time.

Customers do not lose their place in line, but will have to be skipped if their order does not match that week's allocation. It works both ways. If there is a week where Carbon Fiber can't be built, then those orders are skipped by orders without Carbon Fiber. If there is a week where Carbon FIber can be built, then orders without Carbon Fiber are skipped by the orders with Carbon Fiber.

Wow, maybe it was the act of signing up here?! Had been in line for an allocation at a few dealerships starting last June. Sign up here and within a week... Boom! Got the call today from my local dealership they got an allocation and it was mine. 8 months but it's now gonna happen. Order placed!!

Congrats that you landed that one! Argent silver seems to not be a popular color as I looked across the online inventory search... very few popped up vs many of the other colors.

Dunno when orders close but so glad I managed to get an allocation vs settling for what I could find on a lot somwhere.

So am I! I was bummed when I first heard about ordering being closed. My sales rep told me that someone ordered this car in Dallas and then "no showed" when it came in...I mean, who does that for a car like this? I ordered my V-Wagon back in the day and waited with bated breath for it to come in.

It was not a no show. The car was ordered incorrectly by the previous associate. We are doing a new order for the customer.

Please give my thanks to the associate who ordered incorrectly if he is still around; I just wish he would have ordered it wrong with the satin graphite wheels and the torch red seat belts!

Been lurking around here for a while reading and learning, finally figured I should actually join.

Looking to replace my current DD, a '15 Camaro M6 with one more manual fun commute car before they disappear from the planet

Drove a couple 4-V BWings and found myself liking them very much, despite being a 4dr sedan. Clearly an Alpha platform car, shares a lot with my '23 Camaro SS 1LE summer fun toy. So have been trying to work a number of dealers to secure an allocation to get an Argent Silver M6 with a few creature comfort options. Hoping I can get an allocation or find a car close enough that already on a lot.

Per dealer it is at 3400. Only got one email from Cadillac that order had been accepted.

It will change around the middle of next week to 3800 most likely. I believe you should get emails directly from Cadillac soon if your email was entered with the order.
