2024 CT4 V Blackwing
August 2022 I took delivery of a car I'd had my eye on for a while. 2023 SS 1LE Camaro. Mag ride, V8, manual. Life was good.
I tracked it, took it to the tail of the dragon, ran backroads, took it on dates with the ladies.
Until...
April 2024, someone turned left in front of me, and the 1LE gave her life to save mine.

Money in hand, the search began.
Integra Type S
F87 M2 Comp
Or, what's this? Used CT4 prices are quite affordable.

The hunt began. Started looking at used cars, trying to find one with the right options I wanted.

And then...
I ended up finding one that was the PERFECT spec for me, exactly how I built mine on the website.
I called up the dealership, justified a completely unnecessary purchase to myself, handed over a ton of cash, signed some papers and voila.

Very nice ride.

Beautiful ride! I have a Coastal Blue with the bronze wheels as well. All options except sunroof. Would have LOVED the red seatbelts and cool grey interior to make it perfect (I also would have loved the red calipers, I have the blue ones and just not a fan), but I think I'm going to upgrade the seat belts just to get a bit of color inside lol.

Well, 7,500 miles on the car now.

I ordered tires for my Apex wheels, I'll post pics once I get them mounted and on the car.

Also, ordered the Tapout White Belt package, plugs and JB4. Excited to add some power to this platform with able to switch between modes.

I've been really impressed with how balanced and easy the 4BW is to handle. I don't have plans to track mine due to wear/tear that does for my daily, but am looking forward to giving the Spring Mountain ones a hard run. I've been really impressed with how easy the 4BW is to get sideways and hold position without snapback or over-rotation.

If camaro made a 1LE with 4 doors/5seater (have kids) it would have been my ideal car. Got to drive one once, really fun car to drive. If they come out with a 4door my 4BW might not be a "forever" car.

A modern SS would have been my next purchase. I enjoy the LF4 but the LT1 has such character.
I heard a guy's catless and custom exhaust ATS-V and you could almost fool yourself into thinking it was a V-8. It had that deep low rumble at idle and sounded really good. Sadly he didn't have a plan to pass emissions when I asked him but it was a very well setup and tuned ATS-V.

Ceramic coating done.

Now since I'm going to the tail in a few weeks I have a list of items to be done:

0w40 Supercar oil change
Brake fluid flush (RBF 660)
Diff fluid change
Clean car
Install wheels
Install rear brake ducts
Install JB4
Install Green air filters
Install new plugs

In regards to the differential fluid, look what I found. Never did the swap on my 1LE.

BMW owners will notice the 15w-50. Lol. They like their oil T H I C C.

Since I don't have time, or the inclination (It's too fucking hot) to do a polish and full ceramic coat on the car, I'm going to try Adams Graphene Advanced.

I've heard excellent things about it. I'll apply it like a regular coating, with a suede applicator, wiped on panel by panel.

I've been using some 4 year old Avalon King IX I've had lying around. I'll see how well it works.

Plugs on an LF4 is not for the faint of heart.

Rear brake ducting installed, and the green filters installed.

I didn't review all of the paperwork until today.
Learn from me, they need the dielectric grease. So, I'll be pulling it apart again to apply that.

I'll try to get some more pics.

Also, there's no documentation or an explanation of the maps, and I'm getting conflicting information via searching.

Well, I think the JB4 is DOA. After triple checking all the connections and assuring the unit has power, it won't connect to the app, and the car runs poorly.

I was hoping to have it for my Tail of the dragon trip in two weeks but, looks like that isn't happening.

I'm really disappointed overall.

Uninstalled the JB4 and after a drive cycle, car runs great and no CEL.

I confirmed continuity from the OB2 Port connector and the multi-pin connector to the JB4 board then I did the same for the MAF, MAP and T-MAP connectors. Fairly certain the unit is dead. Rather annoyed overall, but we'll see what TapOut says.

Ceramic coated the calipers, we'll see how this holds up.

Got the wheels on, they look great. No good pics as of yet, it's absolutely pouring down here.

Scott @ TapOut got back to me within an hour on a Sunday, consider me impressed.

Let me know to contact Burger.
So we'll see what Burger Motorsports says.
