Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

Has anyone gone from 4V to 5V

How did it go? What did you think?
I enjoyed it. Interesting to drive a car that is so similar to mine but very different also. Engine was obviously great. At times, I feel like I need to drive my 4 really quickly. I could see myself being perfectly content just crushing around changing gears in a 5.

The two really fast cars I have owned - RS3 and Giulia QV - were both kind of boring after a while due to being automatics. It got to be the accelerating quickly for 0-50 was the only way to have fun in the car day to day. Don't feel that will be an issue in the 5.

The bad part of the drive was I do feel like I would miss the sharpness of the 4 so I am probably going to look for a 5 with PP.

Thanks to all for the comments. You got me.

Getting a 2026 CT5V Summit/Sky Cool/Bronze Wheels- most importantly with Precision Pack. It has 700miles. First owner had it long enough to get it a full PPF before he decided to trade for one with dark interior and no sunroof

Thats awesome!

Having driven the non-PP car, i'll be super interested if you can tell the difference between the two

A couple of pics. Just got tint put on.

Regarding PP vs non-PP, I don't have a ton of reference. When I drove non-PP 5 right after having been in my 4, the 5 felt different - larger and bit less sharp on turn in.

When I go from 4 to PP5, there is a very similar feel. A lot of road feel through the steering wheel in both but the 5 is more composed over larger imperfections. If the goal of PP was to make a 5 feels as close to a 4 as possible (given the weight and wheelbase differences), I think it was achieved. It's still not a 4 in a sense that the 4 feels super connected front to rear to me. Even a 5PP doesn't quite have that level of connectedness. I also have a lot more time the in the 4 and it felt like a really great pair of shoes to me. More to come

As far as comfort, the PP5 feels more comfortable than 4 to me - not that every had any ride complaints at all with the 4.
