I bought a used 26 CT5VBW w/PP last month. It has Cup 2s. My hope was just to get through the summer on them before switching to PS4s. The car had 800 miles when it arrived. It has 1700 miles now. I didn't even bother checking treat tread depth until today.

Rears are at 4, 3, 2.5
Fronts are at 5, 5, 5

Maybe rear toe is off some? I have not tracked the car and only driven spiritedly for maybe 3-4 hours. I looked at back at the tread depths of the CPO report and they are illegible. I think it said 6s on the front and 5s on the Rears maybe.

This was ChatGPTs alignment recommendation. Thoughts?

PositionCamberToe
Front -1.3° to -1.5° 0 to slight toe-in (0.02° total)
Rear-1.0° to -1.3°0.10° total toe-in

Safe to assume whoever drove it the first 800 miles had a lot of fun before trading it in! I guess the Cup2s are really meant as track only tires?

I was able to talk to the detailer who PPF'd the car originally. I asked him if the owner tracked it. He knows the owner and implied that would be very out of character for him to have taken the car to a track.

I don't doubt that, but I would doubt he never spun the tires in his time of ownership. I spin mine every time I go out. I can't imagine buying a brand new Blackwing, respecting the break-in period, and then trading it in without ever knowing what the car could really do.

Yeah the cup 2s are terrible tires for the street. Great for performance, but not something I would ever buy for a DD. I had them on my Focus RS and they got beat to hell within a couple months and would hydroplane over puddles. The PS4S is a great DD performance tire.

New tread depth on Cup 2 tires are probably no more than 6/32”. So the tires fronts are not that worn. The rears are more concerning with the numbers not being consistent across the tread.
