One of the best cars in Cadillac's history is about to have one of its worst years. Don't worry. The future is bright for the CTS, the car that saved Cadillac.
CTS sales will take a beating for the next year or so, though. It's the circle of life, baby lion, the latest step in a brand evolution the CTS itself began.
Today's Cadillacs bear only a coincidental resemblance to the cars that preceded the CTS. They have breathtaking performance -- the 556-horsepower V-series -- avant-garde style -- the CTS coupe -- and unique and advanced features -- automated braking to avoid accidents and iPad-style controls.
All that would have been unimaginable before the first CTS arrived 10 years ago.
