2024 CT4 V Blackwing 6MT
I apologize in advance if this has already been a topic. I tried searching and couldn't find anything on the site. I've been getting pop up adds from them for a few weeks now, advertising CF for our beloved BWs...I know you generally get what you pay for, and this stuff is NOT expensive. For perspective, for the price of Tapout's one piece front splitter, you can get a front splitter, dive planes, side skirts, and a rear spoiler. Does anyone have any experience with their products? Thanks in advance guys and gals.

Multi-page thread on the EOS rear spoiler here:

I have one and it looks good. Seems like high quality. I like that it is secured by bolts as I think just keeping it attached with tape is not a great idea at track speeds. If you refer to page 18 on the thread above, you can see the install steps include drilling new holes in the trunk for the 2 end bolts.

Im not sure this is the same company. The EOS im looking at is an acronym for Extreme Online Store.

Definitely not the same company. A link would have prevented confusion.

I can't get the link to the CT4 V Blackwing parts to copy and paste.

I have heard of people buying the CF mirror caps for their 5BW and stating the quality was really good. Several posts on YouTube of people performing installation. Take a look there.
Not sure if that carries over to the rest of their products or not.

I decided to buy and install OEM for 5BW because I loved the “V” matched and OEM color hue. Expensive, but so was the car.

If you take the plunge, please post pictures and your thoughts.

I should have asked which EOS you meant as I recall running across a video on their spoiler when searching for an Exhibition of Speed install video on YouTube. If you do get their CF parts, please share pics and your thoughts.

EDIT: here is the video from YouTube

The EOS Splitter and wing are not bookmatched. This is where the carbon fiber meets in the middle creating the “V”. Some ppl don’t mind, some people are particular about that stuff. Up to you.

Im going to wait to post my full review until install is complete but the wing I received from EOS yesterday appears to be bookmatched. Here is a close up.

I think a problem with all of this is that there are 2 companies that do carbon fiber called EOS.

Oh wow! Very nice!

6 bolts and thick, double sided sticky tape.

Hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like it is a bolt that goes into a nut embedded in the spoiler. That sounds like a real pain to align with the existing holes compared to having the bolt in the spoiler that is secured with a nut. Plus drilling the new holes on the edges becomes trickier and I am not even sure how you could insert and tighten a bolt there. I am looking forward to seeing your install write up.

As far as I understand it…
  • Open trunk
  • Removed carpet from trunk panel
  • remove screws/clips from spoiler from this area
  • take some fishing line and use it to cut through adhesive that joins spoiler to trunk
  • clean residual adhesive
  • add adhesive to trunk (I understand its important to create a seal as it keeps water out of the trunk)
  • screw bolts and/or attach clips to spoiler
  • install carpet
  • close trunk
This is pretty much what i'll be doing when I've got time.

Is there an install doc for the 4BW?
Probably. But I only have the one for a 5BW. I did not notice you had a 4BW. Hopefully access to the mounting point at the corners is better in the 4BW. It is impossible to access in the 5BW. You have to use special clips instead.
