Doing my part! 😂

I'm still upset that I sold my MK6 before the VCDS came out for full traction control delete. That and it needed suspension + LSD.

Agreed on all points, I usually prefer smaller cars, and while the M2 is fantastic on paper, it just isn't killing me in the looks department, and a G80 M3 is $10-$15k more. I was really impressed with the Alpha platform in my 1LE and wanted more of it, plus it held up really well in an accident, that also swayed me. With the dynamics that GM has used in the CT4/5 it doesn't surprise me at all to see so much Euro crossover.

Nothing sounds like a Porsche, that's reason enough to get one. I will have a Cayman/Boxster one of these days.

Agreed on all counts. I have a very nice LSD, traction delete (first thing I do after starting the car) and gobs of suspension upgrades. Its a little beast and always puts a smile on my face (except at times in the rain). I got so spoiled with my B5 Audi S4...its amazing I never got in a serious accident in the rain after...took me a while to realize I couldn't drive like I used to in those conditions....shame...

Alpha platform is the #1 reason these Caddys are so special IMO. M3s have been dead to me after the E90...just too bloated with lame steering (BMW has seriously lost its way IMO).

Prior gen M2 always intrigued me and was my projected next car once I soured on the Fiat and didn't get approval for the Caymen/Boxster. Once I discovered the CT 4 V BW I knew it was our next car. The fact that the wife approved and even (surprisingly) encouraged the buy made it all happen quickly. If only the RS3 came in MT (and sportback here) I'd likely be driving one...but in the end happy for the Caddy....ultimately the better choice aside from wailing around in the snow...

If I were ever to get a Porsche it would likely be a Boxster S or Caymen S or GTS about 2 gens back (don't ask me the # 718? I really have no clue....just a confused old man what can I say?) But i know what I like....and what I don't. Somehow I think if I ever get another 2 seater its going to be a used Miata or MR2...and I could fully live with that...

TBH, I like the sound of my 4BW better than my Porsche, but the Porsche as a total package is a great complimentary car to the daily driven BW. The Porsche is much more of an analog, mechanical feel and sound, which is good for the enthusiast soul.

I love a good Porsche 6 roar but, they did some work to make the LF4 to sound as good as it does.
