My issues with AFM and auto shut off is that it's all done for fuel economy. Whether the tech is good or bad, the point to me is, how much does that really increase your gas mileage in the real world? If you increased your mileage by 20%, I get it. But what's the real improvement? 1%? Ridiculous.

It's the whole, "if it saves just one child's life" mentality. I don't get why we are being pushed to cater to such a small segment of mental society for certain things.

I used to hate skip shift on my camaro's.
So glad they did not include that sh*t on the blackwings.

I would not call this misinformation. Maybe they have fixed the problem, I do not know.

Every manufacture has their issues and endless lawsuits. GM has millions of V8's pinging data back to OnStar with massive amounts of miles all AFM/DFM going strong since early GMT-900's I have an immediate relative with a 2018 Silverado had ZERO clue it went into 4cyl.
