Dealer Tech Didnt Realize I have PDR

Can the PDR recording be disabled if the car is placed in Valet Mode? Might be a way to avoid this.
There doesn’t seem to be valet mode on my ‘26 even though the manual references it and so does a sub menu in the PDR settings. I just have “teen driver mode” which is linked to a specific key and active whenever that key is used. If anyone has a 25/26 and has figured out how to use valet mode please share.

Was the engine and transmission in operating temperature? If so, then that's all fine and dandy, it is a car after all.

Ideally, the "tech" would have been successful launching it, so you could go back to the dealer and "request" 2 new rear tires or negotiate a massive discount on the next set of tires.

I always set a location warning for my car when I take it for service, just in case they decide to joy ride it or take it to a third-party without my consent.

Very crappy dealership I have to say given that they didn't know PDR was enabled. That's what you get when they send the intern to take the car to the third-party body shop, lol

Thanks everyone. Like I said the only thing that seemed possibly worth mentioning is the fact that he deleted the video, but this hasn’t changed my mind that it’s not worth it.
I would honestly report it to either the dealership or directly to GM. The NEXT joyride could be much worse (hard launches while engine is cold, etc etc).

The issue is he will continue this type of behavior with all BW's that come through until there are repercussions for his actions.

Just to be clear, I'm all about honesty, being personally accountable, and an expectation of professionalism, not so much about knee-jerk calls for sacking people that are otherwise good employees (assuming here). This is a great opportunity for the shop manager to reset expectations and standards in the shop on hold the techs accountable to these standards going forward. I could go on about parenting failures and entitlement issues with younger generations, but I can't find my New Balance sneakers or my "get off my lawn!" sign.

I think most of us old farts that have been managers for 30 years, would doubt that a tech that acted this way is an otherwise good employee.
